Group Finance, Planning and Analysis Manager

Reporting to the Executive Director – Finance & Corporate Services, the Group Finance, Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic financial planning, business analysis and modelling, management and reporting functions of the Society’s Finance Division.

With this role is the opportunity to have a long-term impact on one of Australia’s best loved charities. The successful candidate will have the following attributes: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or similar discipline, and membership of a professional accounting body (CPA or CA) with at least five (5) years’ demonstrated experience
  • Experience leading a team and providing support and opportunities for growth and development
  • Demonstrated experience actively supporting, reporting and tracking wide organisational change with a consultative approach and passion to drive results and performance
  • Experience managing remote teams across multiple locations and the complexity that this arrangement entails
  • Complex analytical and commercial skills as well as strong commercial and business acumen
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, management accounting and reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards
  • Excellent and broad stakeholder management skills written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with key stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and in providing accurate reports
  • Proven ability to meet tight timeframes and the capacity to manage workflows and work on multiple projects at the same time
  • High-level knowledge of Excel and knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs and strong experience with Business Intelligence applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to adhere to the ethos and mission of the Society
